Caitlyn Boller is a young lady of seventeen who left school at the end of year 8 after deciding it was not for her. From school she went to work at the Reject Shop. While there she saw several managers come and go but she, herself was always passed up for any promotion. She felt she wasn’t going anywhere, this effected her both mentally and socially to the point she left and went on medical exemptions, she was not enjoying life.
Caitlyn was looking for more out of her life and so approached MAX Employment for help. She explained to them how she enjoyed helping an elderly lady from “The Manor” Retirement Village in Batemans Bay and how this was helping her to overcome her fears and barriers in dealing with daily life. MAX took this on board and referred her to our Certificate III Individual Support course.
Caitlyn has attended every class and completed her 120 hours of work placement. After completion of this work placement Caitlyn was offered full time employment. She finds that at in her new workplace she is appreciated and she is popular with both staff members and clients alike. She is now looking forward to commencing a Certificate IV Aged Care with us and has dreams of becoming a head nurse.
