Introduction

The Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication (BSB40820) is designed for individuals who want to build practical skills in marketing, customer engagement, and communication. This nationally recognised qualification equips students with the ability to analyse consumer behaviour, implement marketing activities, prepare complex documents, and develop strategies for digital and traditional media.
Graduates will be prepared for roles in marketing support, advertising, public relations, or communication across a wide range of industries.

Who Should Enrol

This qualification is suited to people who:
  • want to begin or advance a career in marketing, advertising, or communications,
  • are currently working in a marketing or customer service role and want to formalise their skills,
  • want to gain knowledge in social media and digital marketing strategies, or
  • are seeking a pathway into higher-level marketing or business management qualifications.

Units of Competency

Students must complete 12 units of competency, consisting of 6 core units and 6 elective units.

Course Delivery

This qualification is delivered through a flexible approach to suit different learner needs:
  • Face-to-face training in a classroom setting,
  • Blended delivery using virtual Zoom classrooms combined with in-person support, and/or
  • Online delivery with access to digital resources and trainer support.
All training includes a mixture of theory and practical components, supported by qualified trainers and individual learning assistance where required.
