Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations

I’ve already done some of this — can I get credit?

Yes. Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer both apply to the Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations. If you have relevant experience, or you have already completed matching units somewhere else, we assess it — and your fee is worked out on what you still need to complete, so it can come down. Can I pay it off, or do I need it all up front?

You pay as you go. $650 to start, which includes your first unit, then $110 per unit as you work through — $2,080 for the whole qualification, or $1,664 if you pay up front. Afterpay and ZipPay are available, and there is no contract: you only pay for the units you actually do. This qualification is not government subsidised, so this is what everyone pays.

Do I need to already work in a warehouse to do this course?

No. You do need somewhere to demonstrate the practical units, and most of our students use their current job — but if you’re not working in the industry yet, tell us when you enrol and we will find you a site. You won’t be left ringing around warehouses yourself, which is exactly where most people get stuck with this qualification. No experience or prior qualification is needed to start.

How much does it cost, all up?

You start with $650, which covers your enrolment and your first unit. After that it’s $110 per unit across the remaining 13, so the full qualification comes to $2,080. Pay in full up front instead and it’s $1,664, saving you $416. Afterpay and ZipPay are both available, and there’s no lock-in contract — you only pay for the units you take.

Is this course government funded?

Not this one. Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations isn’t on NCVE’s NSW Smart & Skilled funded list, so it’s fee-for-service — the $650 start and $110 per unit above. Several of our other qualifications are funded, and if you’re with an employment services provider they can often cover the fee. Tell us who they are and we’ll deal with them directly.

Why does this cost more than other online warehousing courses?

Because of what’s in the price. You get a named trainer with industry experience you can phone or video-call one to one — not a helpdesk queue, and not AI marking your assessments. If you’re not already working in a warehouse, we find you a site to demonstrate the practical units. And $2,080 is the full qualification, not a starting price: $650 to get going, then $110 a unit as you work through them, with no lock-in. Courses advertised at a few hundred dollars are usually self-guided — a login and a set of modules you work through alone, and they leave the practical side to you.

Can I do this around shift work or a full-time job?

Yes, and most students do. The theory is online and self-paced, you have up to 12 months from enrolment, and your trainer works around your roster by phone or one-to-one video. There’s no scheduled class you have to take leave for — which matters in an industry that runs early starts, late finishes and rotating shifts.

Can I do this course from outside NSW?

Yes. The course is delivered online right across Australia with a real trainer supporting you wherever you are. Face-to-face study is NSW only — Batemans Bay, Nowra, Goulburn, Wollongong, Campbelltown, Mount Druitt and Parramatta — so if you’re in Victoria, Queensland, WA or anywhere else, you study online and demonstrate your practical units at a site near you.

Do I need a forklift licence?

Not for this qualification. Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations covers receival and despatch, storing goods, stock control, safe manual handling and Chain of Responsibility — a forklift licence is a separate high risk work licence issued by SafeWork NSW. Plenty of students hold both, and this qualification is what employers look for on the operations side.

English is my second language — is that a problem?

No. There’s a short language, literacy and numeracy check when you enrol. It isn’t a test you pass or fail — it tells your trainer what support you need. Warehousing and logistics is one of the most multilingual industries in the country, and you’ll have a named trainer you can phone.

What if an employment provider is paying for me?

That’s common and we handle it regularly. Tell us who your provider is and we’ll deal with them directly on the fees and the paperwork — you don’t have to broker it yourself.

How long does it take, and can I finish faster?

You have up to 12 months from enrolment and it’s self-paced, so you can go faster. Students already working in a warehouse often finish well inside that, because they can demonstrate the practical units as they work. Your trainer sets a realistic plan with you rather than leaving you to guess.

Do I get a real trainer, or a chatbot?

A named trainer with industry experience, for the whole course. You can phone them or book a one-to-one video session — no helpdesk queue, and no AI marking your assessments. It’s the main thing that separates us from the online-only providers.

What jobs does this lead to?

Warehouse and storeperson roles, receival and despatch, stock control and inventory, order picking and despatch operations, and team leader roles as you gain experience. TLI30325 is recognised by employers Australia-wide across warehousing, logistics, transport and distribution.

What do I need to enrol?

A USI — a free Unique Student Identifier, get one here — photo ID such as a driver licence, photo card or passport, and the short LLN check. No prior qualifications and no experience required.

What units will I study?

14 nationally recognised units — 2 core (safe manual handling, and ensuring the safety of transport activities / Chain of Responsibility) plus 12 electives covering receival & despatch, storing goods, stock control, sustainable practices, customer service, leading a team, WHS and working with diverse people.
